ASBAH's local services are provided by professional staff throughout England, Northern Ireland and Wales. They work to provide services where they are most needed, in the community. There are two main groups of service staff who work with a fully-integrated teamwork approach.
A programme to regionalise the management of our services was started in 1990, with the opening of a regional office in London. This serves London and the south-eastern counties. A year later, ASBAH opened a second regional office in Northern Ireland. In 1995, the regional development programme reached its halfway point with the launching of two more teams - to cover the East of England and northern England east of the Pennines. The aim, for which funding is being actively sought, is to have a full range of support services available in each of eight regional centres which will be based at strategic locations throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
